Ce m-a impresionat la aceste imagini a fost faptul ca soferul – in loc sa faca cale intoarsa – a apreferat sa se indrepte direct spre norii amenintatori. Presupun ca a mai trecut printr-o astfel de furtuna si stia ce-l asteapta. Logic, primul lucru pe care l-a facut a fost sa inchida geamurile. Corect?

this was about 3 weeks ago in chicago. we got 23 in of snow. WE had thundersnow. it was a crazy blizzard. i had to take the first snow day off work in 8 years.

Chiar asa, vi s-a intamplat sa intalniti vreodata un vant atat de puternic (in centrul orasului) incat sa nu va puteti tine pe picioare? Eu nu!

Stormfront caused panic at the beach in Hietaniemi, Finland

This is called a “supercell thunderstorm.” They’re fairly rare, but this isn’t new. They almost always occur around the coast. There’s nothing to be afraid of, unless you want to over-think this storm and scare yourself.

For the third time in the last 6 days, another line of nasty storms rolled through Chicago on Wednesday evening. I love coming home and being able to watch and capture nature’s beauty from my balcony. “Wed’s storms towered up to 63,000 ft, unleashed 80 mph gusts, local 3″+ rains and 15,000 cloud to ground lightning strikes in a single hour.” via @Skilling
