Mac’s is a convenience store chain here in the province of Ontario, Canada. They are actually selling Frosters (ie big Slushies like at 7/11) in three crazy named sizes: WTF, OMGWTF, AUNTSMGWTF. I think it is an awesome add campaign, but it’s really pushed some buttons with parents etc… Mind you viral marketing can be nasty on the turnaround. To be honest I’m pretty sure the names of the sizes have been changed now.

I have seen more photography submissions on digg over the past few hours. The problem is, there really isn ’t a category to put them in. Usually they are placed in the “offbeat news”,”world news” or“design†sub-section of “technologyâ€. However, I think with the growing popularity of pictures on digg, there should be a photography section.
It’s about time the developers listened to the community, especially since adding one more category is not a monumental upgrade in any regard. And since the request has been made numerous times prior to this (1, 2, 3, 4).
It is becoming increasingly apparent that Digg is in dire need of a photography category on the site.
If not…
Digg needs to allow stories to be filed under multiple categories. For example, a funny picture of an apple computer could be filed under pictures and apple (and design and who knows). I could see that making things worse though. Maybe have the submitter rank them in order of categorical relevance?
