Baby Mouse Wine

Vin cu soricei
What is it with the Koreans? As if the fermented cabbage-flavoured Coolpis wasn’t bad enough we get this, wine infused with baby mice.

Used as a cure all in rural parts of Korea, it’s made by stuffing a hoard of two to three day old mice into a bottle of rice wine and leaving it to stew for, ooh, a good year or so.

After that you’ll have a ricey-mice concoction fit for… mentally scarring your own children.

Fashion Model Falls into a Giant Hole

Model cade in groapa din catwalk podium
During L.A. Fashion Week, a performer fell on his back during the opening of the show, leaving a giant hole in the runway — which, apparently, no one thought would be a problem. But, sure enough, a lovely young lady (just the right size to fit) fell right through it!
Eating a sandwich or maybe an apple at some point during the day would have prevented her from falling straight through that little hole.
But what about the guy who made the hole?! That looked like it hurt, yet he got right back up and finished his show.

Mel Blanc, the man of a thousand voices

Mel Blanc - omul cu o mie de voci

The most famous voice talent in cartoon history, Mel Blanc was the Looney Tunes star who voiced Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig and dozens of others. Blanc grew up in Portland, Oregon, where he worked in radio from the late 1920s to the mid-1930s, when he headed to Hollywood. He landed voice work with Walter Lantz and Walt Disney, but it was his long (and eventually exclusive) relationship with Warner Brothers’ Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes that brought Blanc fame. He worked for Warner Brothers cartoons from 1937 to 1969 and helped shape the characters that would become world famous: Bugs, Daffy, Porky, Foghorn Leghorn, Sylvester & Tweety, Pepe LePew, Wile E. Coyote, Speedy Gonzalez, Yosemite Sam and others. While voicing cartoons he also worked in radio, most memorably with Judy Canova and Jack Benny (Blanc did the comic sounds of Maxwell, Benny’s sputtering jalopy). After Warner Brothers shut down their animation department Blanc did voice work for films and commercials (the Frito Bandito), and enjoyed his position as the most famous cartoon voice in the world.

Extra credit: Blanc is also credited with creating the character voices for Woody Woodpecker and Barney Rubble (Fred Flintstone’s sidekick and neighbor).
This awesome 1981 video of Mel Blanc invited on Lettermans’ Show speaks for itself

The Big Mac hamburger and french fries McDonald’s, kings of conservation

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This video shows the powerful preservatives, additives and other substances used by the fast-food chain McDonald’s in the products they offer consumers, but particularly stress the strength of the Big Mac and the traditional chips.

The experiment in question are entered into several glass jars some of the hamburgers that we can purchase at McDonald’s, the so-called Fourth-pound, the Big Mac, Chiken McGrill, etc.. It also introduces two types of chips, which typically offer classical and other extra-sized very coarse. Do not lose detail on the process taking place in the video, which shows the status of these foods after one, two, three and up to 10 weeks after they are introduced into the glass.

The prize for conservation will carry the chips, after spending 10 weeks, have an appearance that one might say “edible”, although much doubt that this is so.

As for hamburgers, the more resistant it was the standard bearer of the chain because it was the last to show signs of decomposition relevant. Sin duda, este vídeo hace pensarse más el acudir a comer a McDonald´s. Undoubtedly, this video does think more go to eat at McDonald’s.

Wingsuit Flying

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Wingsuit flying is the art of flying the human body through the air using a special jumpsuit, called a wingsuit, that shapes the human body into an airfoil which can create lift. The wingsuit creates the airfoil shape with fabric sewn between the legs and under the arms. It is also called a birdman suit..

Watch Loïc Jean-Albert as he performs various stunts dangerously close to a mountain wall while wingsuit flying. It’s one of the seldom seen extreme sports but now wing suit flying will feature for the first time in the 2008 Chamonix Winter Outdoor Games.
