This guy took me completely by surprise while snorkeling in the Caribbean. I dove down to have a look at the shell that you can see just under where the octopus appears and as I approached the octopus came out of hiding. I had literally no idea he was there until I was about a metre away.

In minutele ce urmeaza veti asista la niste imagini spectaculoase, o caracatita gigant evadeaza de pe puntea unui vas printr-o gaurica de 5 cm patrati. Un material asemanator am postat si aici prin 2011, acolo puteati urmari cum o caracatita incape cu usurinta intr-o sticla de bere.

O parte din imaginile de mai jos au mai circulat acum ceva vreme pe internet insa materialul de astazi ne prezinta in detaliu modalitatea prin care caracatita se poate adapta extrem de rapid la mediul inconjurator, tehnica sa de camuflare fiind extrem de complexa si – parerea mea – extraordinar de spectaculoasa.

A seafood bowl I ate in Hakodate in Hokkaido, Japan. It had salmon roe and seaweed and some other things, with the highlight being the “dancing” squid on top.
Dancing squid dishes seem to be at many restaurants in Hakodate, but this particular one may have been the only one with this bowl set. The place was located in the seafood restaurant arcade across the parking lot from Hakodate Station if anyone is interested.

Pai, cam orice respira. Astazi servim impreuna o salata de caracatita…..vie. Atentie la tentacule, sunt inca active si se prind de tot ce apuca: farfurie, buze, cerul gurii, etc.
Clarificare: caracatita cu pricina este moarta si ceea ce vedeti in imagini sunt doar reflexele naturale ale membrelor retezate.

Filmed in Blairgowrie, Victoria this beautiful little octopus had no problems squeezing itself out of this small beer bottle.
Hmmm, si eu care credeam ca in sticlele de pe fundul marii gasesc doar mesaje de la naufragiati.
