In Venezuela exista un loc unde raul Catatumbo se varsa in Lacul Maracaib. Pe parcursul unui an, timp de 10 ore, de-a lungul a 140-160 de nopti, cerul de deasupra raului este brazdat de o lumina aproape continua datorata  celor aproximativ 280 de fulgere produse intr-o singura ora.

Mai multe detalii despre fonomen cititi aici iar grandiosul spectacolul  il puteti urmari mai jos. Fenomenul este extrem de natural si este unic in lume.
