Kido’s First Shell Game
I know all cats and dogs are smart. The main purpose of sharing this video is not to show how smart Kido is, but to share my joy of knowing that Kido was willing to play shell game with me and he got it right, regardless of how he did it. If you are a pet owner, you know how hard it is to get them to do something, especially on the first time (without previous training). So I am proud of him regardless what harsh comments you may provide.

Nu stiu cum-i spune in romaneste la jocul asta, cert este ca pisica asta este extrem de atenta. Asta cu toate ca are o figura plictisita rau. Sa fie vorba totusi doar de noroc sau pur si simplu  pisica asta aude foarte bine?

“DIEGO-SAN”, by Hanson for the Machine Perception Lab at the UCSD Institute for Neural Computation. With a face by David Hanson and Hanson Robotics, which mounts on a body by Kokoro, this robotic baby boy was built with funding from the National Science Foundation and serves cognitive A.I. and human-robot interaction research. With high definition cameras in the eyes, Diego San sees people, gestures, expressions, and uses A.I. modeled on human babies, to learn from people, the way that a baby hypothetically would. The facial expressions are important to establish a relationship, and communicate intuitively to people. As much a work of art as technology and science, this represents a step forward in the development of emotionally relevant robotics, building on previous work of David Hanson with the Machine Perception Lab such as the emotionally responsive Einstein shown at TED in 2009 (seehttp://www.ted.com/talks/david_hanson_robots_that_relate_to_you.html, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbjF6j_Dza8).

Diego-San este un robot umanoid care ne demonstreaza inca o data teoria ca in cativa ani vom vedea pe strada… pardon, nu vom mai putea deosebi pe strada robot de om. Pe langa faptul ca Diego are o fata de bebelus gigant, aceasta este extrem de expresiva, chiar creepy:
