Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is an amazing up and coming city. This time lapse is a culmination of 10,000 RAW images and multiple shoots capturing some of the cities relentless energy and pace of change.
Everyone who has visited Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam knows part of the magic (love it or hate it) is in the traffic. Ever since I first set foot in HCMC I have been captivated by the cities energy. Saigon is a city on the move unlike anything I have experienced before which I wanted to capture and share.

Mai exact, niste file de Pangasius? Cuuuuum? Nu stiti ce e ala?

Pangasius este numele acelui peste care a navalit recent (cu 2-3 ani in urma?) in supermarketurile romanesti si care se afla in stransa lupta cu codul care si el la randul sau se prezinta fara oase si bucura burta romanului.

Astazi am dat peste articol despre acest minunat peşte crescut de vietnamezi (daca intoarceti pungile alea din supermarket pe toate partile, veti observa ca scrie “made in Vietnam”). Mai rau, am vizionat si un documentar de 17 minute (deci foarte bogat in informatii) ce-i drept in limba franceza, care mi-a prezentat anumite aspecte ale vietii sarmanului Pangasius, de la nastere si pana ajunge in farfuria noastra.

Last Flight From Da Nang

“This CBS report was in March 1975. Edward J.Daly, owner of World Airways, sent a Boeing 727 aircraft to Da Nang Vietnam to pick up stranded woman and children. Instead the aircraft was swamped by military personnel climbing on the aircraft. There were 260 people aboard a plane which is designed to carry 105. The plane was overloaded by 20,000 pounds. The baggage compartments were loaded with people. Some of the problems during the flight included, the rear stairway remained partially extended for the entire flight, the main wheels would not retract, a hand grenade damage to one of the wings causing fuel loss, and the lower cargo doors were open. The plane had to fly at 10,000 feet because of lack of pressurization thus fuel consumption was three times greater than normal.”

Pentru cei pasionati de istorie, asta se intampla la Da Nang – Vietnam – acum mai bine de 33 de ani. Sa mai zica cineva ca comunismul e/a fost un lucru bun!
