When I was on tour with my band to Japan this autumn I had like an hour off between soundchecks, so I went into a city to buy some souvenirs. I was following a street by foot, but I stopped when I saw these japanese guys making what I believe is some sort of candy based on rice

This video shows the line for Comiket, a doujin convention that occurs twice a year in Japan. The usual size is approximately 500 thousand people in a convention center. An organized system like this is absolutely necessary to keep people in order.
Recunosc ca la inceput nu am inteles nimic din acest timelapse insa la scurt timp am cautat pe Google termenul si m-am dumirit. Comiket este cel mai mare targ de reviste si carti de benzi desenate din lume care se desfasoara de doua ori pe an, in Tokyo, la care iau parte cei mai buni caricaturisti din tara. In cele trei zile de desfasurare, peste 500.000 de oameni ii calca pragul. Daca impartim aceasta suma la vizitatori/zi observam ca peste 130.000 de oameni viziteaza zilnic “Tokyo Big Sight” – o imensa cladire care adaposteste evenimentul.
Daca ne indreptam atentia asupra imaginilor de mai jos vom observa cum au ales japonezii sa faca fata zilnic unui asemena flux de oameni. Totul tine de organizare, rabdare, civilizatie si respect. Ca la noi. Nu? 😀

Stiu, a trecut ceva timp de cand nu am mai postat ceva cu si despre pisici. Iata ca astazi ne reintalnim cu o mai veche vedeta a internetului: pisoiul din Tara Soarelui Rasare – Maru. Acesta tocmai a implinit 4 ani de viata asa ca stapanul sau a pus pe Youtube urmatoarea compilatie ce contine, desigur, o colectie de cutii “pline de Maru”.

A seafood bowl I ate in Hakodate in Hokkaido, Japan. It had salmon roe and seaweed and some other things, with the highlight being the “dancing” squid on top.
Dancing squid dishes seem to be at many restaurants in Hakodate, but this particular one may have been the only one with this bowl set. The place was located in the seafood restaurant arcade across the parking lot from Hakodate Station if anyone is interested.
