This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide.
Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories.The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies.
Materialul de mai este realizat de catre norvegianul Terje Sorgjerd – magul filmelor time-lapse, unul din cele mai bune vazute de mine pana acum. La vizionare va recomand urmatoarele setari: full-screen, casti si multa liniste. 😉

My girlfriend Ginny gets taken to the movie theater to see “Fast Five”. After a preview for the Hangover 2, a trailer for a movie comes on. A trailer I made of her father and I where I ask her father for her hand in marriage. After he gives me permission, I race off to the theater she is at to ask her to marry me.
What she doesn’t know is our familiy and friends are in the theater with her watching the whole thing, along with about 100 strangers 😉
E plin internetul de cereri in casatorie insa cea de mai jos isi merita locul intr-un top 5 al celor mai bune/spectaculoase pe care le-am vazut pana acum. Ideea tipului e geniala, pe scurt: stiti ca la cinema, inainte de inceperea filmului, ruleaza tot felul de preview-uri. Eh, priviti……

It cost him very little, the most cost was the fuel for the tractor to keep it pumped out. His friends had boats to take to him when the water got up to high to drive to it. One of his friends had a backhoe who dug the levee for him. But the boats were used to take the sand bags from where alot of people were filling them so the guys with the boat could haul them down to the house. He just had a bunch of good friends!!

Sunt sigur ca aceste imagini pot fi lesne incorporate intr-un frumos material didactic. In imaginea de preview puteti observa cu usurinta cum arata un tantar inainte de ospat si cat de umflat devine dupa ce a supt.
Vine vara asa ca-i asteptam cu drag…. (pe tantari)…..

Imaginile de mai jos m-au dus imediat cu gandul la copilaria mea. Atunci cand eram in vacanta de vara, toata ziua spargeam lemne si stiu ca petreceam destul timp facand asta. Iar astazi mi-am dat seama si de ce pierdeam atata timp in loc sa fac lucruri mai distractive. Mai jos avem prezentata o metoda (care sper sa ajunga si pe la sate) prin care se poate sparge o buturuga in mai multe bucati in doar cateva secunde/minute. Metoda e destul de primitiva – ca sa zic asa – este nevoie doar de un simplu lant (sau cordon, depinde ce ai prin batatura) fixat in jurul busteanului. Acesta va impiedica bucatile desprinse sa cada pe jos, astfel ca centrul de greutata al acestuia nu se va modific.
Later edit: Normal, toporul trebuie sa aiba lama ascutita, conteaza si asta.

Right smack in the middle of the jet blast from a departing Insel Air MD-82 at St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana Int’l Airport (SXM)! This was one of the stronger jet blasts during my visit. Everyone’s belongings were blown well into the water and if you listen closely at the end you can even hear a car alarm that started sounding as a result!
Nu de alta dar ti s-ar putea intampla lucruri nu tocmai placute. Spre exemplu, uitati-va la bietii oameni din imaginile de mai jos. Stateau si ei la un mic si-un gratarel pe plaja cand s-a intamplat asta:
Intr-adevar Juliana e un loc interesant prin prisma locatiei unice – gardul peste care trec avioanele are doar 1.40 m inaltime, nu ai nevoie de scara. Din punct de vedere strict aviatic cred ca spotting-ul la Heathrow, Narita sau LAX este mult mai interesant.
In total intr-o zi buna vezi cam 10 jet-uri aterizind. Senzatia e oauuu nu zic nu, dar dupa un timp ai dori sa vezi si altceva. Anyway cu prima ocazie ma voi intoarce acolo pentru St Maarten este locul ideal in care iti poti petrece o saptamina de vacanta… asta bineinteles daca nu te deranjeaza zgomotul avioanelor care decoleaza la 50 de metri de hotelul unde stai.
